$2b allocated for inner-city public transportation

TEHRAN, Dec.8 (MNA) – The Iranian Majlis (parliament) approved a $2 billion credit line allocated from the national forex account for the expansion of Tehran and other cities public transportation.
IRINN news network reported that according to the act the government is required to give one billion dollars to Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Company to procure equipment and set up rails.The government is also obliged to give $700 million to buy subway equipment for Iran’s other mega-cities, and allocate $300 million to implement their public transportation projects with maximum use of Iranian technical and engineering knowhow
